On-line renewals are available
now from this page. Renewal Information has been mailed to
your address of record on June 30, 2008. The information
that was mailed is also available here.
All Alabama CCR's expire on September 30, 2008.
No CEU's are due for this year's
renewal. You will only be required to pay the renewal
fee of $100.

(top right) for 2008 Exam Information.
The Application Forms and Instructions are available on this
site under the forms tab. The options for applying are as
follows:

Licensure by Work Experience
(grandfathering option for those employed by
June 1, 2006, in the practice of court reporting
in Alabama)
-
Temporary Licensure (employed after
June 1, 2006 and before October 1, 2007)
-
Licensure by Reciprocity (licensed in
another state of equal or higher requirements
for licensure as Alabama)
-
Licensure by Examination (The next
scheduled Examination date is scheduled for
February 16, 2008)
*Applications with a deadline, as defined by
statute, will be accepted if postmarked on the
deadline date.

Please read the Application Instructions to
ensure that your application is accurately completed. The
Checklists will help you find the appropriate method for
applying.
The effective date of Licensure in
Alabama was October 1, 2007. The State Bar and
Administrative Office of the Courts have been notified that
all court reporting services must now be performed by
Certified Court Reporters (CCR's) and all transcripts must
contain the CCR Number. The letter sent to Alabama
Clerks is available on this page for your review.
Please
list your number as, "ACCR" and follow with your assigned
number on your transcripts. On this page you will find an
example of a certificate page with this required
information. Please note that under
current statute, notary publics are required administers
oaths. We are very excited to continue the licensure
process and are looking forward to our next stage of
development for licensure in the State of Alabama.
