The deadline for registering
with ABCR for this exam is October 16, 2008. Please complete
an application for Licensure by Examination (on this site)
and send to ABCR with the $75 Examination Fee. Other exam

calendar.
IMPORANT NEW EXAM INFORMATION
The Alabama Board of Court Reporting (ABCR) has made the
decision, after serious consideration, to no longer provide
an Alabama CCR Examination after 2008. The last Alabama CCR
Examination will be provided on November 15, 2008. Credit
will be given by ABCR to all applicants who have passed any
legs of the Alabama CCR Examination given in 2008.
Instead of a state skills examination, the ABCR will now
only accept the national examination provided by NCRA or
NVRA for licensure in Alabama. You may find links to these
organizations and information on registering for these exams
on this site.
NCRA WKT Information: the knowledge portions of the
certification exams are being offered four times a year for
about two weeks each. 401 candidates took part in the first
round of computerized testing. The new approach provides
greater scheduling convenience and flexibility, along with
many more testing locations to choose from." To register
online, or to download a candidate handbook, visit the
Online Certification Test Center. With the exception of CLVS
candidates, candidates must be a member of NCRA by November
14th.
